More Victims Accuse Doctor of Sexual Assault
More potential victims have come forward to accuse a Connecticut doctor of sexual assault, police said.
Police charged Dr. Edwin A. Njoku of East Hartford with several counts of sexual assault, unlawful restraint and bribery of a witness for the alleged rape of a female patient in October.
The patient, Anolan Drago, claims she was raped by Njoku during a visit to his office to obtain her medical records. Njoku had been treating Drago for back pain after a slip and fall accident years before.
According to police, 15 to 20 other women have come forward with similar allegations against the doctor.
Njoku is being held in lieu of $825,000 bail.
