Feds Investigate Bullet Hole in Airplane
The FBI is investigating how a possible bullet hole ended up in the hull of an airplane, officials said.
A U.S. Airways employee found the bullet-sized hole in the hull of a Boeing 737 during a pre-flight inspection in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The plane had just arrived without incident from Philadelphia.
An Airline spokesman said the hole, which did not penetrate into the cabin, would likely not effect the jet's operation.
Investigators think the plane may have been hit with a stray bullet during flight. There is a police firing range in close proximity to the airport.
